1929 at harbuck chapel
Following a revival in 1908 LFCN was organized with 10 charter members. Over the years and several locations later, the current location on 1604 S. Medford was built and dedicated in 1986. In 2003 additional parking and improvements on the face of the church were completed. In 2005 minor renovations were done to facilitate the growth of LFCN as it serves families of Lufkin and Angelina County.

The Greatest Commandment
36"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" 37Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' 40All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
Matthew 22:36-40 NIV*
The Great Commission
19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
Matthew 28:19-20 NIV*

Core Values
-
Experiencing God
We believe that experiencing God is more than a once-a-week event, but a 24/7 lifestyle. God wants to be intimately in your daily living.
- Developing Leaders
It’s out desire to equip every member to reach their maximum potential in Christ. Our passion is to raise people to their highest level of influence by utilizing their unique talents and spiritual gifts. (Eph 4:11-16)
- Biblical Teaching
We seek to passionately teach the Word of God with relevance and creativity in an authentic and casual atmosphere. (2 Timothy 2:2)
- Sharing Christ
Because people matter to God, they matter to us. Our desire is to lead people into a real and meaningful relationship with Christ by sharing our personal story of experiencing God. (Matt 28:19-20)
- Children & Students
Children and Students have always played a major role in the plan of God. God promised that if we “trained our children”, the nation would increase mightily and things would be well. Our hearts desire is to provide a well-balanced training ministry for children, students, and their parents. (Deut. 6; Matt. 19:13-15)
- Prayer
Christ modeled prayer as the source of His Strength and wisdom. The church began a prayer meeting. We believe prayer to be the front line for personal Victory. (Acts 1:14)
-
Small Groups
The personal needs of the church are met in small family groups. Participation in a small group is essential for community and relationship-building. (Acts 2:42-47)
-
Excellence
Excellence honors God and reflects who He is. We believe that the only way is the quality way. We still strive to do the best with what God Gives us. (Co. 3:23)
